Urban Beekeeping: Observation Hive, with Hive Beetles!!! Are They Corralled?

I show you some hive beetles that are in the observation hive. They are on the edge of a frame, and are enclosed in wax and propolis. I talk about the 2 ideas of them being held hostage in that spot or if they made that spot themselves to be just out of reach of the honey bees. You can see some bees try to grab those bad little beetles with their mandibles! Great stuff!

Very cool observation hive! Nice eye shadow too! Sort of honey colored – huh? Cute!
