urbangreenbee says:

that sounds so awesome! I will definitely check it out!

I still say you look HOT in that get up! What can I say?

Also – We (my 27 yr old son and I) will be attending a small scale beekeeping symposium here in Sonoma County. Check out 3w dot beekind dot com our local beekeepers’ “anything you need store”! Great people, supplies and classes! We will have a new friend attend with us and will be helping her set up her family’s first hive!

urbangreenbee says:

Wow! Yeah, it is easy to forget those little details and cause a riot! I am excited about your new bees on their way! Experience teaches me all of the time! and you can see that in some of my videos! 🙂

kishka7 says:

This spring we are getting some new bees – last mid-October we had a wild bee RAID! They DEVOURED ALL of our bees’ honey (TWO hives!) I will put new bees into one hive and make the other tempting for a wild swarm to find! We’ll see! We neglected to make the entrances small enough to defend! Experience is the best teacher!

kishka7 says:

Yes - very much so!

kishka7 says:

Out here in Sonoma County, California wine country (55 miles north of SF) we use paper fiber egg cartons in the smoker! They burn completely and leave only a small amount of ash! Works well!! There’s always plenty of paper fiber egg cartons around!

kishka7 says:

Hey – It’s the beekeeper’s Bustierre!!! LOL!

urbangreenbee says:

Yeah, I need to work on my lifting posture, that is why I hurt myself!!!

urbangreenbee says:

I will take that compliment, even though I look like a hot mess in that video!!! Thanks! 🙂

urbangreenbee says:

that can be tricky! I try to separate the frames of honey from the entire operation if possible. I am on a roof, so I can just bring the frames into the building one at a time, and yeah, that takes forever! But, it helps separate the bees from the frames and prevents a crazy riot/robbing fiasco! I will definitely make a video for my next harvest, great idea! But it will be a while! 🙂

BronzeProductions says:

Oh, but still even with a back support lift with your legs. 😉

kishka7 says:

Hey you look kinda like Lara Croft – Tomb Raider!

gstonegraphix says:
